I have just finished researching the life of John Carlile and his story together with his brother Percy and cousin Alexander who all died in WW1, can be read on the website.
Hi I have been researching the men on Old Whittington War Memorial and there are three Carlile names on there. There is a facebook page Old Whittington One Place Study or the Brushes, Sheepbridge, Unstone and Broomhill Park you may be able to find more about the Carlile family on there if you ask for information. I have been researching all of the men on the Old Whittington War memorials, I am not related directly to any of them I am afraid.
