THE FALLEN OF OLD WHITTINGTON 1914-1918

The following pages are in memory of the men of Old Whittington who fell in the First World War.  They are listed in the order they are shown on the Memorial at Old Whittington. (The men researched so far, their names are in italics).

Most of the men are recorded with just a surname and an initial, and as a mark of respect  and remembrance in this the centenary of the end of the Great War I am aiming to try and write a short family history for each man who died.  To try and build a snapshot of their lives and if anyone has any information, family stories or photographs they would like to share on the website they would be welcome.

Please contact me here Contact

I will be taking my information from a variety of sources including Census records BMD Indexes, Parish records, newspaper cuttings, genealogy websites and diaries from WW1.  I will cross reference wherever possible to make sure the information on the website is correct.

Click on the links below to be taken to the individual information page for each man. (Names in italics (red or black) have  been researched)
