This was a bit of a tricky one with still a few unconfirmed pieces of information. I have never researched a member of the RFC later the RAF and it was quite a learning curve for me, and I found some it very interesting and distracting!
I haven’t found a picture of William as yet but will keep looking and if any descendants of the Belfitt family have any photos or information they would like to share then please get in touch.

I am coming to the end of researching the men on the war memorial. I still have a few I am researching but there are a couple of men who I cannot find any definite link to Whittington.
Norman Dennison, John McGee, Frank Wheelhouse, John Smith, James Frost and William Fisher ( as I have mentioned before there is a Wilfred Fisher, it could be an error on the memorial).
If anyone recognises these family names or is an ancestor then please get in touch, even if it just gives me a nudge in the right direction I would be grateful.

Abraham and George Fearn were killed within a few months of each other in 1916, what a terrible time it must have been for the family. Abraham’s story can be read at https://oldwhittingtonops.com/fearn-abraham/ and his older brother George at https://oldwhittingtonops.com/fearn-geo-isaac/
If any descendants of the brothers would like to add any photos or information to the webpage then please get in touch via the contact page or the facebook page at Old Whittington One Place Study.
