Fearn Brothers

Abraham and George Fearn were killed within a few months of each other in 1916, what a terrible time it must have been for the family.  Abraham’s story can be read at https://oldwhittingtonops.com/fearn-abraham/ and his older brother George at https://oldwhittingtonops.com/fearn-geo-isaac/

If any descendants of the brothers would like to add any photos or information to the webpage then please get in touch via the contact page or the facebook page at Old Whittington One Place Study.

BURIAL AND RE-DEDICATION

Its always good when the CGWC manage to find names for the men still being found on the battlefields in France from WW1, and WW2 for that matter. They have just issued a list of reburials for April. One of the men is a Sherwood Forester who unfortunately they haven’t been able to identify, but at least he is getting the military burial and recognition he deserves.

If anyone is interested the list is available at https://www.cwgc.org/learn/news-and-events/news/2019/04/01/07/44/burial-and-rededication-services-in-april-2019?fbclid=IwAR3dTFmce1wLgAw6RIFIMZsjX8m2cvetQ9E7zSqbgV7uTKOJ1sXyKZL9OTw
