We remember especially today the following two men who died on July 1st 1916 and who are remembered on Old Whittington and The Brushes War memorials.
Robert Bunting, he was 21 years old and came from Cavendish Square Sheepbridge.
Clarence Hewitt, he was 22 years old and came from Whittington Hill.
